Dr. Eyal Tsur

Dr.  Eyal Tsur is a senior fellow at Kohelet and holds a doctorate degree in political science from Hebrew University. He obtained his BA in Middle Eastern studies and his MA in political science – both with honors – from Hebrew University. Prior to his work in Kohelet, Eyal took part in the Megidor Committee examining governmental structure in Israel and served as a research assistant Hebrew University, the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research and the Israel Democracy Institute, and teaching assistant at Hebrew University and the IDC. His research is wide ranging: Israeli and French politics, Israel’s relationship with Diaspora Jewry, national security, democracy and more. Among others, he published the book “For the sake of the Zion I shall not stand still? the Jewish Diaspora and Jerusalem” in collaboration with Prof. Gabi Sheffer, two articles with Prof. Oren Barak on Israel’s military elite and a paper on Arab numerical representation in the French National Assembly, based on his thesis.
